Kohaku
$46.00
Only 4 madeKohaku takes its name from the Japanese word for amber, the warm honeyed gold found in old glass and slow afternoon light.
Three faceted Czech glass beads fall along a fine chain, spaced so they catch light separately as you move. Two are rose-cut, fire-polished rondelles with soft Picasso veining across the surface. The third is a clear English-cut bead, faceted deeper to cast a sharper flash against the warmer stones.
Every bead is locked into place and hand-looped closed, so nothing is glued, and nothing shifts. It is slower to make this way, which is why these hold up.
The chain is stainless steel, chosen because it holds its finish and does not react with skin the way plated base metals do. It stays bright through daily wear and will not leave a mark on you.
Each bead carries its own veining and inclusion pattern, so no two pairs are exactly alike. Yours will be one of a kind.
At 2 inches, Kohaku is long enough to move with you and light enough to forget you are wearing it. Good with a collared shirt, good with bare shoulders, and good on a Tuesday.
Handmade one pair at a time. There will be a total of 4 of these earrings.

Keep your piece away from perfume, hairspray, and lotions, and put jewelry on last when getting ready. Store it in a dry place, flat and out of direct sunlight. A little water will not hurt it, just wipe it dry afterward with a soft cloth. For gemstones, an occasional gentle wipe is all they need.
