Beni
$56.00
Only 4 madeBeni takes its name from the safflower crimson that was ground into pigment for traditional Japanese lip color, a red made from a flower rather than a stone.
The shape is different from the rest of the line. Two lengths of fine chain fall from the post and open into a diamond, with a freshwater pearl suspended at the center and a faceted red crystal set on either side. The chains draw back together below the pearl and finish in a single teardrop crystal, deep red and cut to hold light at the bottom of the drop.
Freshwater pearls are never identical. The one at the center of yours has its own shape and its own luster.
At 1.75 inches, Beni sits just below the earlobe and reads as an occasion piece. Red and pearl is a combination that carries weight, which makes this the pair to wear when the rest of what you have on is quiet.

Keep your piece away from perfume, hairspray, and lotions, and put jewelry on last when getting ready. Store it in a dry place, flat and out of direct sunlight. A little water will not hurt it, just wipe it dry afterward with a soft cloth. For gemstones, an occasional gentle wipe is all they need.
